The Voice over School is under the direction of Becky Bonar, who has been associated with the radio ranch as a producer, writer, director, and talent for over 25 years.  In the voiceover field, Becky most recently spent two years as a Booth Director at the William Morris Agency, where she directed auditions for some of the top talent in LA, in addition to writing, voicing and directing award-winning radio spots for the Ranch and clients across the country.

The Famous Radio Ranch has been an award-winning commercial production house for over 30 years, with clients including Target, Jeep, Viking Cruises and Kroger, to name a few.  As writers, producers and performers, we have garnered every major honor in the field of radio advertising.  Our voice over philosophy is simple:  Every spot tells a story, and every actor is a story teller. Our School of Voiceover Acting is opening in our new Sherman Oaks studios to train those story-tellers.

For voice over success, you need a grasp of the fundamentals of acting and the ability to convey emotion while creating a believable character.  It's not just about the sound of your voice, or all the funny characters you entertain your friends with.   It's not about your mom or your co-workers telling you, "Hey, you oughta be on the radio."  To succeed requires innate talent, the honing of considerable skills, and lots and lots of patience.  There is no magic formula.  Our classes make no guarantees other than that you will discover some things about yourself as a performer, move a little closer to your goals, and have great fun getting there.
